- Note: To open ring and insert into your piercing, place each of your thumbs to the left and right of the seam on the ring. Move one thumb towards you, and one thumb away from you, turning the hoop into a spiral. Insert the item into your piercing, and realign the ends to reform the hoop. It's important to not pull the ends apart; otherwise it will bend out of shape.
